Carla Russell Record Release Events

Vocal powerhouse Carla Russell joins forces with The Muscle Shoals Allstars for a soul music album featuring previously unrecorded songs penned by some of the most soulful and legendary southern songwriters including Tony Joe White, Dan Penn, Spooner Oldham, Donnie Fritts, Mickey Buckins, Scott Boyer and Buzz Cason. The set also includes two recently unearthed songs by blue eyed soul singer and 2018 Alabama Music Hall of Fame inductee Eddie Hinton. Wet Willie's Jimmy Hall and the one and only Tony Joe White are special guests on the Andreas Werner produced album that will be released on March 9 on Crazy Chester Records.

Carla Russell has thrilled audiences all over the world from her hometown of Huntsville, Alabama to the Lincoln Center in New York and the Porretta Soul Festival in Italy. She's also sung on many of the great recordings coming out of the Muscle Shoals area. The Muscle Shoals Allstars consist of Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section members David Hood and Jimmy Johnson (aka the Swampers), Muscle Shoals session stalwarts Clayton Ivey, Mickey Buckins, Will McFarlane, the Muscle Shoals Horns and backup vocalists Cindy Walker and Marie Lewey (aka the Shoals Sisters).
