Mickey Buckins will be honored by the Alabama Music Hall of Fame with a bronze star. Mickey’s one of the key players of the Muscle Shoals sound and he’s left a remarkable legacy as a songwriter, musician, engineer and producer. The ceremony will take place on June 26 at 2 PM. Andreas Werner was asked to speak at the event.

We are proud to reissue The Decoys’ 1992 Live At Union Station album. It was originally released on cassette only and only sold off the bandstand. The reissue was remastered from the original master tapes and features four previously unreleased bonus tracks. The CD will be available in the fall.

Funky Chester’s new album Fallstreak Hole Grooves will be out this fall! The record consists of ten instrumentals that explore the intersection of jazz and rhythm & blues. Our musical brother Doug Moffet unexpectedly left us this morning. Doug was a long time member of the Muscle Shoals Horns and has played sax and woodwinds on countless records. He was a wonderful guy and we are devastated by the sad news. Our thoughts and prayers go to his wonderful family and his many friends.
